90% of Chinese now check online before buying

The global consulting firm Accenture has just released findings from their survey that revealed 90% of Chinese consumers are checking product and brand information before making a purchase.

Social media, micro blogs and brand websites play a crucial role in determining a purchasing decision. About 74 percent of the respondents were found to trust the comments they found on social media sites about companies posted by people they know.

“This shows the increasing importance of having good SEO to drive consumers to the right brand and product information “said Robbie Burns, Sales Director for ChinaSEO.

“Also important, you want the consumer to find positive news about your brand, product or services, and not about your competitors” he added.
